
The City of Concord implemented a $1.6 million energy savings performance contract that was guaranteed to save upwards of $300,000 per year in energy cost savings. Comprehensive energy savings measures were implemented across the City of Concord as a Phase 1 effort. The City is currently implementing a Phase 2 performance contract with an additional approximately $3 million in energy and infrastructure investments that are guaranteed to save over $322,000 per year in utility costs. The Phase 1 project was supported by utility rebates and the Phase 2 project is supported with rebates from the local natural gas and electric utilities, grant funding from the State of New Hampshire and the United States Department of Energy. The Phase 2 project includes innovative and renewable energy technologies including solar thermal systems for domestic hot water and LED pedestrian traffic signals.
