The Town of Milton engaged Beacon to provide full scope owner’s agent and technical/engineering support for their 2 megawatt wind turbine project. Beacon is providing technical, procurement and project oversight services in support of the Town’s efforts to engage an engineering, procurement and construction (“EPC”) firm to provide turnkey design/build services for its wind turbine project. Beacon developed the comprehensive energy management services agreement executed by the Town of Milton and the selected EPC contractor, and will support the Town throughout the construction and commissioning phase of the project.
Beacon took a lead role in developing the Town of Milton’s submittal to the Massachusetts Renewable Energy Trust (“MRET”) for design and construction funding support under the Community Wind Program. Beacon is further supporting the Town of Milton in its negotiation and application for interconnection into the NStar Electric distribution system and for net metering program benefits in accordance with the requirements set forth by the Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities and under the NStar tariff. Beacon will also assist the Town of Milton with the sale and/or auction of its Renewable Energy Credits.
